Feedback from GRAP 104 Financial Instruments Reference Group

The Reference Group met on 5 December 2023. Guidance on loan commitments and disclosure of financial instruments were discussed.

Loan commitments

The following documents were discussed by the Forum that are now available on the ASB website:

• Fact Sheet – The fact sheet was updated to clearly indicate the type of loan commitment referred to. Access it here.
• Flow Chart – The Secretariat developed a flow chart to assist stakeholders with navigating the GRAP 104 requirements when accounting for loan commitments, especially loan commitments on below market terms. Access it here.

Disclosure of financial instruments

The Reference Group considered two fact sheets on Financial Instruments Disclosures. The fact sheets explain the common disclosures in GRAP 104 and the objectives of the disclosures . This will enable preparers to assess which disclosures are applicable to their entity. The facts sheet are available on the ASB website.
