ARE YOU READY TO VOTE ON 29 MAY 2024?

As South African citizens we each get one chance every five years to vote for our next national and provincial governments. The upcoming general elections on 29 May 2024 is that opportunity that none of us can afford to miss. It is, however, not simply about showing up to vote. For democracy to work optimally, every individual should make an informed choice about where they put their cross.

The Secretariat of the ASB has resources that can assist you with making an informed choice. These include:

• Short YouTube videos and presentations that explain how to understand and use financial statements to make decisions and hold entities (and government) accountable.
• Article on the importance of assets and how to read the financial statements when deciding how to vote.
